New Renderings of The Reserve Club’s Clubhouse & Signature Club
Much thought and detail has gone into the Reserve Club’s new clubhouse and state-of-the-art fitness center, The Signature Club. Both spaces have been designed by the world-renowned architectural firm, Chapman, Coyle and Chapman out of Atlanta, GA. The Reserve Club’s new clubhouse will include multiple dining and cocktail spaces, ample meeting space and a snack bar & grille. The beautiful Signature Club will include top-of-the-line fitness space and equipment, a pristine outdoor pool with cabana, multiple tennis courts, a juice bar, massage therapy rooms, his-and-hers steam rooms and saunas and an expansive retail shop.

Tommy Thompson Will Soon Call The Marina HOME!
Thomas Mann Thompson was a fearless blockade runner during the Civil War that called neighboring Southport home. History coined him as “the man who knew no fear” and his strong and mighty legend will live on at our marina’s new waterside grille. Opening in early July, Tommy Thompson’s Grille will offer a million dollar view of the marina, a hoppin’ Tiki bar with plenty of outdoor entertainment, one mean crabcake sandwich, cold beverages and too many fantastic sunsets to count. This is sure to be St. James’ new hot spot and all are looking forward to the opening. In addition to Tommy’s, the marina’s Harborside Marketplace will offer residents a fresh market grocery at Roberts Market, outdoor provisions and clothing at Waterman’s, a real estate office, and all the sights and sounds of a bustling marina. If you haven’t been to the marina – make plans to visit this summer!

9th Annual Founders Day Celebration
   
Lets’ Celebrate – the town of St. James is 9 years old! We celebrated the occasion with a huge Founder’s Day Celebration. The festivities kicked-off around noon and lasted until sunset. It was a great day for all who attended. Kids enjoyed face-painting and arts & crafts while parents and grandparents enjoyed the company of their neighbors and sunset cocktails. The day couldn’t have turned out better and concluded with a 50/50 raffle—all proceeds were donated back to the town to help cover the cost of the celebration!
44th Annual North Carolina Open Concludes
  
June 5th marked the close of the 44th Annual North Carolina Open at our Nicklaus Design Reserve Club course. The exciting three-day tournament crowned Karl Kimball in first place – he managed to score an impressive double eagle on Hole #7 in an earlier round. Our very own Steve Isley, Reserve Club Head Golf Pro, finished 9th qualifying him for another PGA tournament. All spectators agreed that this tournament -- a first for St. James – was a great display of championship golf. Even better, the tournament closed with a donations ceremony from St. James Properties, LLC to the United Way Foundation and First Tee of Brunswick County.

Military Appreciation Day
  
On May 15th, St. James Plantation held their 3rd Annual Military Appreciation Day. This special day kicked-off with 394 golfers competing in a fun-filled charity golf tournament. Afterwards, the hungry group and more residents, military personnel and guests attended a picnic held at Waterway Park. The event raised money to support "The Children of the Special Operation Warrior Foundation." Our generous residents raised over $28,000 for this worthwhile cause!

St. James Properties teamed up with the Oak Island Police Department to bring a little Christmas cheer to families in need. Each employee brought a new, unwrapped toy that will brighten Christmas morning for over twelve local families. Officer Chris Franks and his fellow officers picked up the toys on Friday December 14th - and will be making special deliveries in Southport and Oak Island.
Hope for the Warriors
December 1st, marked the date that St. James Properties and The Clubs at St. James joined forces to host a special golf outing at the Members Club for the Camp Lejeune Hope for the Warriors Hospital. It was truly a memorable occasion with more than a dozen wounded marines in attendance. The marines lunched before hitting the course for a much-needed, therapeutic round of golf. Several St. James residents and Club staff were on hand to greet the soldiers - it was a touching event that warmed the hearts of many including a few tough marines.

Anual Open House Showcase
St. James Properties, LLC held its 2nd Annual Open House Showcase, October 5th-7th. The Founders Club Tennis Center Reopens with an "Ace!"
The Founders Club Tennis Center celebrated its Grand Reopening with an absolute "ace!" Members, enthusiastic tennis fans and various club employees were on hand to enjoy the festivities. The new spacious viewing deck was the perfect spot to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a match exhibition and plenty of good "tennis talk!" We look forward to enjoying many more events at this beautiful new amenity!

The Residents of St. James Celebrate the Town's Birthday in Style!
The Town of St. James celebrated its 8th year of incorporation in a big way! On Saturday, July 1st, excited residents and family members gathered to honor St. James with the annual "Founders Day Parade." Many of the residents took the time to handcraft floats and signs and all were in great spirits! After the parade wound through the streets of St. James Plantation, residents gathered at Waterway Park to continue the celebration! Food, activities, music and fun were the main attractions. Founders Day was a huge success and residents look forward to many more years of celebrating "paradise everyday!"

Players Club Sports Center Celebrates Grand Opening!
On Friday, May 25th, The Players Club Sports Center celebrated the grand opening of its new fitness facility with an excited crowd of property owners and guests. Residents enjoyed delicious (and healthy) snacks and smoothies while enjoying the sounds of The Barry Langston Duo. The Players Club Sports Center is open daily and it's first-class amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, locker rooms, a croquet lawn, HarTru tennis courts and a chipping and putting green.
